MESSAGE

The Internet is now part of everyone's life and should be used to offer and share meaningful buddhadharma.

Online or offline, Dharma begins as a rethinking of ideas and notions. Awakening come about through learning and personal realization, which are equally important. In Tibet, practitioners usually studied for at least five years and then practiced in retreat for another five years or longer. Clearly, this is rarely an option for us. But I don’t see that as a disadvantage. Times are different and the power of skillful means evolves suitably. There’s no reason to feel that awakening is more difficult now than before. With confidence, we can rejoice in our dharmic circumstances.

— Lama Dechen Yeshe Wangmo

Lama Yeshe Dechen Wangmo became a lineage holder of The Dakini Heart Essence (mkha 'gro thug thig), the dakini treasure teachings of His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche when she was enthroned by Repkong Lama Tharchin Tsedrup Rinpoche  in 1992.

Based on forty years of Vajrayana study and practice in Canada and the United States, her knowledge is informed by retreats, competency in literary Tibetan, and advice from her teachers including the 16th Karmapa, Kalu Rinpoche, His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche Jigdral Yeshe Dorje, Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche and Lama Tsedrup Tharchin Rinpoche.

As a teacher and a sangha leader, Lama places great value on authenticity, accountability, and connectedness.

In 2002, she established Jnanasukha Foundation (www.jnanasukha.org), a non-profit channel for the wisdom and compassion of Yeshe Tsogyal, a female buddha and the most famous enlightened woman in Tibet's history.  Since then, she has also established: Vajrayana World, a blog site for Westerners (www.vajrayanaworld.com), Sangha Journeys for pilgrimages to Tibet (www.sangha-journeys.com), support for Tsogyal Latso, birthplace of Yeshe Tsogyal in Tibet (www.tsogyal-latso.com), and programs for scholarships, grants and humanitarian aid.
